Man burns his inlaws to death

As stated in todays  Nigerian Leadership newspaper, the incident occurred  on the 1st of September 2016 at about 9pm at Isampou in Ekeremor.

The jilted husband allegedly poured fuel in and around the home of his mother-in-law with the intention of killing his wife who had planned to spend the night at her mother’s. She is reported to have changed her mind at the last minute and rather spent the night with a friend.


The suspect, a 37-year-old man allegedly set the home of his in-laws on fire after his wife divorced him.

Unfortunately, it was his mother-in-law and brother-in-law who were alone in the house and therefore paid the price of his gruesome ploy

An angry mob from the community stormed the suspect’s village in speed boats with the burnt corpses to retaliate the attack by setting his family house ablaze in Bomadi, Delta State.


However, the police intervened but could not arrest the suspect who has managed to disappear from the village.
