We don't have any towing vehicle - Lagos police representative, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, uncovers as he makes sense of why officials jump into individuals' vehicles during an arrest

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the representative of the Lagos state Police Command, has made sense of why men of the state police command jump into a passenger's vehicle when an arrest is happening.

While answering a Twitter user, Hundeyin expressed that the officials should tow the vehicle of a guilty party to the station yet the command has no towing vehicle, so officials have no other option than to jump into the vehicle of a wrongdoer to arrest the person.

The Twitter user posed the question while responding to the video of a couple having a squabble with certain officials in Lagos last Sunday, July 24. The couple was on Monday, July 25 arraigned before the court and afterward remanded in Kirikiri jail.

''Nigeria police is always unprofessional, why enter the vehicle, when you are suppose to tow it. Your men should avoid entering peoples vehicle. We need a complete video as it will reveal more shortcoming from your men.''the twitter user wrote

Responding to the tweet, Hundeyin wrote;

'' True, we were supposed to tow the vehicle but we do not have any towing vehicle. The last time we hired a towing vehicle and put the bill on the offender, he screamed all over the place that the police extorted him. I’m happy the Police Trust Fund will supply some soon.''
