Jungle Justice - Durban Man Stoned To Death For Attempting To Rape 6-year-old Girl
It has circulated that a Durban man was stoned to death after he was caught
trying to rape a minor at an informal settlement in Clare Estate. From what we
gathered, angry residents of the informal settlement took the laws into their
hands when they caught the Durban man trying to have his way with a 6-year-old
girl. They assaulted the man with stones and left his body where it was found –
in a bushy area in Cato Manor Shell garage.
Confirming this incident, Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane divulged that the unknown man was mobbed and killed on Monday afternoon. “It is alleged that at about 13:30, at Clare Estate, an unknown man believed to be in his forties was assaulted to death by community members after he attempted to rape a 6-year-old girl,” said the Police spokesperson. While no arrests have been made so far, Zwane said a case of murder is being investigated by the SAPS in Sydenham.
Meanwhile, the Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit called on South Africans to assist its investigation of a rape case. As alleged, a 24-year-old woman was taken by an unknown male driving a white Renault Clio to a cemetery in Stellawood where she was raped. “A case of rape was opened at Umbilo police station and it was transferred to Brighton Beach FCS for investigation. The investigating officer is searching for the man in the attached identikit and we believe that he can assist in solving this case. He is short in height and is slender built. He is about 34-year-old and had short dreadlocks,” related the police service.
