Carrick Reveals If Pogba Will Be Sold This Summer
Manchester United coach Michael Carrick insists Paul Pogba has a big future at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho won’t sell the Frenchman this summer.
Pogba’s been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain after a difficult second season at the Theatre of Dreams following his record-breaking move to the club.
Carrick has just made the transition from Pogba’s team-mate to become part of Mourinho’s backroom staff and the 36-year-old will be consulted over the club’s transfer targets this summer.
Pogba was dropped by Mourinho earlier this season and refused to commit his future to the club in a recent interview but Carrick says there’s not a chance he’ll leave this summer.
‘It’s a very silly question, really,’ Carrick told Sky Sports when asked if Pogba had a future at Old Trafford.
‘Of course he’s got a future, he’s a big player for us, he’s at a great age, he’s got his peak years ahead of him, so it’s not something I’d give a second thought to, to be honest.’.
