D’banj mourns death of baby after one-year-old drowns in swimming pool

D’banj is mourning the death of his only child following an apparent drowning accident in Lagos, Nigeria.

Daniel Oyebanjo III is said to have drowned at a pool in the singer’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos on Sunday afternoon, Pulse Nigeria reports.

Taking to Instagram, the 38-year-old Nigerian star, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, revealed his devastation by sharing a black post, along with the caption: ‘Trying Times 💔🖤. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful 🙏.’

Some Fans soon rallied around the entertainer with messages of support, with one writing: ‘ May God be with you, I can’t even begin to imagine how u and his mother must be feeling. Gone too soon.’
Another said: ‘Stay strong bro…..Prayers up for king Daniels. May his soul rest peacefully in the Lord’s bossom. Take heart bro💔. The Lord knows.’

Daniel’s passing comes just weeks after D’Banj and his wife Didi Lineo celebrated his first birthday with a Minions-themes bash at their home.
