Gender Ministry is useless; government should scrap it - Maurice Ampaw
Controversial legal practitioner, Dr. Maurice Ampaw, has
charged the President Akufo Addo-led government to dissolve the Ministry of
Gender, Children and Social Protection.
According to him, the Minister and staff are confused, making the sector useless.
The family lawyer claims that the Ministry has woefully failed in solving the myriad of juvenile delinquencies and other gender-related problems in the country.
He made the comments Monday on “Perspective”, a segment on Atinka TV’s “Ghana Nie” Morning Show hosted by Abena Dufie Aboagye.
The legal practitioner is thus calling on the President to as a matter of urgency dissolve the ministry which is literally a “white elephant.”
Lawyer Ampaw stressed: “It is quite surprising that with all the personnel and resources allocated to the Ministry periodically, the ministry does not have a good welfare policy for children and the vulnerable in the country.”
