Anambra commissioner rescues 17-year-old boy from abusive guardians
The Anambra State Commissioner for Women's Affairs and Children's Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo has saved a 17-year-old kid from his abusive guardians.
Obinabo rescued the kid, after certain people, he reached about his situation carried him to Awka from Onitsha.
The kid recognized as Chikamnanyo Olisaemeka who hails from Nnewi, explained that his mom gave him over to his uncle in February this year, however from that point forward his life has been hell.
Chikamnanayo expressed that his uncle, Oluchukwu and his significant other Ebere, regularly starve him and on certain days feeds him once a day.
“I have not been enrolled in any school since I came to Onitsha in February. My auntie, Ebere has the habit of beating me with sharp objects at the slightest provocation.”
Explaining the imprints on his body, Chikamnayo said that it has turned into a norm for him to be punished severely with a hot electric iron when he does anything wrong.
Obinabo who addressed journalists said Chikamnayo's guardians would be charged to court and that kid has likewise been sent off to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment and attention.
