"Are you not entertained?" Man climbs crane and strips close to Washington Square Park arch
A man climbed on a construction crane and stripped bare in full view on parkgoers at Washington Square Park on Monday, July 11.
The man, who was at that point shirtless, scaled a condor crane close to the Washington Square Park arch, remained on top its foundation and removed his trunks while yelling and taking steps to jump.
"Are you not entertained?" he yelled with his arms outstretched.
Hundreds assembled to watch the fiasco unfurl.
He repeatedly inched nearer to the edge of the stage and took steps to jump a few times.
Observers implored him to get away from the edge as police and firemen showed up at the scene.
The bare man was eventually carried down to somewhere safe and captured at the scene.
