Court orders fleeing Ajetunmobi couple to pay ponzi victims N19bn

A Lagos State High Court in Ikoyi has requested Bamise Samson Ajetunmobi and Elizabeth Anuoluwapo Ajetunmobi, proprietors of Image Global Solutions Limited, to pay almost N19billion to the casualties of their alleged ponzi scheme.

The couple circulated around the web last year when they were accused of escaping the country with billions belonging to investors.

At that point, it was claimed that some places of worship were essential for their investors who lost cash as well.

On Thursday, July 14, Justice Taofiquat Oyekan-Abdullahi requested the couple to pay investors what they owe.

The judge conveyed judgment in a suit filed by 27 petitioners who sued for them and 118 investors of Imagine Global Solutions Ltd.

The company ran loaning administration to little and medium businesses, offering 22% as interest on advances got and 10 percent returns to investors.

The prosecutors moved toward the court through their legal advisors Adetunji Adedoyin-Adeniyi of AAA Chambers and Banwo and Ighodalo and Co.

In a suit stamped LD/579CM/2021, they looked for a few statements and orders against the couple and the organizations.

In fundamental objections filed by their direction Olukunle Nathan-Marsh, the Ajetunmobis, who didn't show up in court, requested that the court toss out the case.

In any case, Justice Abdullahi-Oyekan dismissed the objections and conceded every one of the announcements and orders looked for by the investors.

The judge requested the couple to pay the N15,541,350 at 10% interest per annum, "being the outstanding investment sums accruing to the 1st to 17th claimants, who are investors; together with all other listed investors, in the second defendant’s company, upon the maturity of the respective investments and the accrued return on investments thereon."

The Ajetunmobis were likewise requested to pay N3,387,450 at 10% interest per annum, "being the outstanding investment sums accruing to the 18th to 27th claimants who are investors; together with all other listed investors, in the second defendant’s company, upon the maturity of the respective investments and the accrued return on investments thereon."
