Kuje prison escapee arrested in Ogun

 

One of the Kuje Correctional Center escapees was on Monday, July eleventh captured by operatives of Ogun state Police Command.

The escapee, 28year old Yakubu AbdulMumuni was captured following an information received by police officers at Sango ota divisional headquaters that, the convict was located somewhere near Sango Ota.

Upon the information, the DPO Sango Ota division, SP Saleh Dahiru immediately mobilized his men and moved to the region where the convict was apprehended.

He admitted to the Police that he got away from Kuje Correctional Center on the fifth of July 2022, when the Center was gone after by scoundrels. He expressed further that he was indicted by Kogi state High Court for offense of Conspiracy and culpable Homicide and shipped off to Kuje Correctional Center.

Affirming his capture, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, referenced that the state commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has requested the State Criminal Investigation Department to work with the exchange of the convict to a Correctional Center with prompt impact.
