UK to announce new prime minister Sept 5 after Boris Johnson's resignation

The new UK prime minister to supplant the active Boris Johnson will be announced on September 5, the ruling Conservative party have annouced.

As indicated by Rueters, 11 candidates have declared interest to succeed Johnson as head of the ruling Conservative Party and prime minister after he quit following a series of scandals after a frenzy in excess of 50 resignations from his administration,

The compelling 1922 Committee of non-ministerial Tory MPs in parliament on Monday outlined a schedule for the party's leadership election.

Nominations will formally open and close on Tuesday, with another prime minister set to be installed when parliament returns from the summer break on September 5, Graham Brady, chair of the 1922 Committee, told columnists.

The first ballot  will be held on Wednesday, with a second ballot likely on Thursday, said Brady.

The 1922 committee of Conservative members of parliament (MPs) which sorts out the leadership challenge said hopefuls would require no less than 20 nominations from the party's 358 legislators to try and continue to the primary round of votes on Wednesday.

Any individual who then got under 30 votes will be disposed of before another vote follows on Thursday. Practically every one of the contenders have guaranteed broad tax cuts to prevail upon the help of their colleagues.

In a bid to accelerate the process, candidates should have no less than 20 MPs backing them in order  to enter the race, up from the typical eight, and any applicant who neglects to get the help of 30 MPs in the primary polling form will be eliminated.

Among those running are Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid, whose departures as finance minister and health minister started the wave of resignations.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and Sunak's replacement Nadhim Zahawi have likewise declared, and Home Secretary Priti Patel is supposedly reflecting on a bid.
