Barcelona have reached an agreement with Club Brugge to sign highly rated Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu in a deal worth €8.5 million, as the Spanish champions continue their strategy of investing in elite young talent.

According to multiple reports, the clubs are now exchanging the final documents ahead of the 18-year-old's medical and official unveiling.

Deal Structure Confirmed

The agreement will see Barcelona pay:

€8.5 million as a fixed transfer fee.

20% sell-on clause retained by Club Brugge for any future transfer.

Barcelona had previously seen a higher offer rejected before both clubs reached a compromise that lowered the guaranteed fee while giving the Belgian club a significant share of any future sale.

Who Is Jesse Bisiwu?

Bisiwu, 18, is regarded as one of Belgium's brightest young prospects.

The right-footed winger is known for his:

Explosive pace.

Excellent dribbling ability.

Confidence in one-on-one situations.

Ability to play on either flank.

He has impressed with Club NXT, Club Brugge's reserve side, and has represented Belgium at youth international level.

Barcelona's Long-Term Project

Sporting director Deco and recruitment chief João Amaral have reportedly monitored Bisiwu for several months.

The signing aligns with Barcelona's long-term recruitment strategy of identifying and securing Europe's most promising young players before their market value rises significantly.

First Stop: Barça Atlètic

Bisiwu is expected to begin his Barcelona career with Barça Atlètic, although he could be given opportunities to impress first-team manager Hansi Flick during pre-season.

With several senior players only recently returning from international duty, the youngster may feature in Barcelona's summer preparations.

Official Announcement Expected Soon

The transfer is not yet official, but all major terms have reportedly been agreed, with only the paperwork, medical examination, and final formalities remaining before Barcelona announce the signing.
