FIFA has officially confirmed the match officials for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina, with experienced Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić selected to officiate football's biggest match.

The highly anticipated final will take place on Sunday, July 19, at New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium), where reigning world champions Argentina will face European champions Spain for the coveted trophy.

Slavko Vinčić Gets the Biggest Assignment of His Career

Vinčić, 46, is regarded as one of UEFA's most respected referees and has officiated more than 50 UEFA Champions League matches. He previously took charge of the 2024 UEFA Champions League final and has worked at multiple major international tournaments.

This will be his fourth match of the 2026 World Cup, reflecting FIFA's confidence in his performances throughout the tournament.
