FG reveals that about 600 inmates escaped after suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Kuje prison

 

The Federal Government has uncovered that around 600 detainees got away from the Kuje Correctional Center after suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the facility on Tuesday evening.

Channels Television detailed that Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mr Shuaibu Belgore who visited the facility today July 6, uncovered that over 300 of the prisoners have been apprehended and more are coming.

Belgore likewise uncovered that the facility houses 994 prisoners and that the aggressors, which he thinks are Boko Haram terrorists, attacked the facility to rescue their co-schemers.

One individual kicked the bucket and three others were injured during the assault.
