WAFCON 2022: Nigeria beat Cameroon to qualify for WAFCON semis


 



Nigeria's Super Falcons have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a 1-0 win over Cameroon in a quarter-last installation played in Casablanca on Thursday, July 14.


Atletico Madrid star, Rasheedat Ajibade headed in the only goal of the game in the 56th minute of the game, to guarantee Randy Waldrum's ladies made it into the last four.


Nigeria will now take on Morocco to reach the final tournament.


The four groups who arrive at the semi-finals at the continuous WAFCON have gotten automatic tickets for the FIFA Women's World Cup.


Up until this point, Morocco, Nigeria, and Zambia have all qualified to represent Africa at the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
