After recent allegations suggested the actor was on life support, Jamie Foxx's daughter provides an update on his condition.
Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx provided an update on his health following rumors on Thursday that the actor's family was "getting ready for the worst."
Jamie, 55, was mentioned by Corinne, 29, on her Instagram Story on Friday, May 12. "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild," Corinne wrote.
“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating."
“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday.” she added
She expressed gratitude to the "Ray" star's recovery for the "prayers and support" of fans.
After gossip blog Radar Online said Jamie's family was "preparing for the worst" as a result of his unexpected health issue, Corinne released a statement. In a since-deleted Instagram post, journalist Touré also claimed that the actor was "on Life Support in [the] ICU."
However, Corinne hinted in her post that "We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"
On April 11, Jamie was admitted to the hospital due to what Corinne could only refer to as a "medical complication."
At the time, she said on Instagram that "luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
