Manchester United finally unveil £52m signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk

Manchester united have unveiled The 25-year-old midfielder who is currently in Russia for the World Cup, though has been struggling with an ankle injury and missed the Selecao’s opening match against Swizterland on Sunday.

Fortunately, Brazil based their pre-tournament training camp in England and Fred was able to undergo a medical at United’s Carrington training ground after taking on Croatia at Anfield in a friendlies.
United announced that they had reached an agreement with Shakhtar on June 5, and now, having been granted a work permit and other formalities, the transfer has been officially rubber-stamped.
