Iranian officials provide few details in wake of meeting in Pakistan

The Iranian Foreign Ministry provided few concrete details following a much-anticipated meeting between Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday.

Araghchi thanked senior Pakistani officials for serving as an intermediary between Iran and the U.S. in pursuit of a lasting deal to end the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, according to a statement.

The Foreign Ministry said Araghchi "outlined Iran's principled positions regarding the latest developments related to the ceasefire and the full end of the war." The statement did not provide any details on the exact positions.

Araghchi also conveyed to Pakistan his criticism of continued attacks by Israel in Lebanon despite the ongoing ceasefire.
